Policies
Please review the policies and expectations for myself, as your transporter, and yourself as the purchaser of the transport services.
Animal Health
Animals will be separated with barriers and individual kennels/pens. Animals will only be housed with other pre-approved animals in agreement of the transporter and customer utilizing transport. Health certificates are to be coordinated and paid for by the buyer/seller of the goat and are not in any way a responsibility of the transporter. Animals will arrive at their destination in the same general health as their departure; any discrepencies or concerns around health should be coordinated between the animal buyer/seller and are not the responsibility of the transporter. The transporter will not be held responsible for any accidental injury, illness, or death to the animals during or after transport. The transporter may refuse transport of an animal if it is deemed unfit for travel - to the transporter's discretion and comfort.
Payment
Payment will be recieved in full prior to the animal being loaded into the transporter's vehicle. Due to the nature of transport timing and communication limitations while picking up animals, it is highly suggested that payment be made in a timely manner so that the transporter is not waiting at the departure location.
Schedule and Flexibility
Transport times are tenative and may vary based on weather, road conditions, traffic, animal tendings, rest, and vehicle needs. The transporter will communicate no less than a 3 hour window of time for animals to be picked up or dropped off. Transport hours may be varied and due to the schedule of others, the transporter retain the right to refuse "scheduled" arrivals or departures. Feel free to inquire for a time that works best for you, but be prepared to be available at any time as it works out on the transport schedule. This is to accomodate all on the route.
CAncellation
Cancellation by the transporter will result in a full refund to the client. The transporter retains the right to cancel at any time for any reason, but will give best efforts to accomodate and offer a timely notice. Should a client cancel after the planned route has begun, a 50% refund will be issued. Note: if the transporter has already given a 3 hour notice for arrival and the client cancels, no refund will be issued. Should a client cancel prior to leaving for the route, a 100% refund will be issued.
Refund from the transporter to client will occur no less than 48 hours upon the transporter's full route ending and returning home.
Responsibilities
The transporter will accomodate bottle feeding, but may not be able to warm the bottle. Please have kids accustomed to cold or lukewarm milk. Bottles and nipples should be provided at pick up. If not provided, the transporter may charge an additional fee to be paid prior to delivery of the animal.
The transporter likely is unable to accomodate milking routines. Please have any does in milk reduced to minimal mikings and milked our prior to transport arriving for departure pick up (please plan accordingly based on route schedules).
Should a delay in route schedule happen, the transporter will ensure animals are milked/fed appropriately to maintain health.
Please ensure animals have appropriate collars if needed.
It is not the responsibility of the transporter to remember registration or health paperwork - both at pick up or drop off. Please have paperwork ready upon departure pick up - preferrably in a folder or sheet protector. Please notify/ask the transporter for paperwork upon arrival for drop off.
